Homemade Olive Garden Recipes: Soup, Salad, Breadsticks and Alfredo Dipping Sauce

I love Olive Garden! Especially their salad, Italian Dressing and Breadsticks! On this blog post I'm going to show you all the recipes you love in one place! First Starting with the breadsticks...
Now they didn't taste "exactly" like the olive garden breadsticks (I may or may not have accidentally left them in the oven to long) but it was my first time making them and they tasted really good!

Second, the scrumptious Alfredo sauce that you can buy extra to dip your breadsticks into:

This sauce came out perfect and tasted just like theirs!

Third, the reason why I go to Olive Garden: Their Salad and Italian Dressing!
These recipes came out perfect!! Tasted just like we were sitting in an Olive Garden Restaurant.

Lastly, the Minestrone Soup. I just love their soups!

Easy French Bread! No Need for a Bread Maker!

This is the easiest bread recipe I have come across! And you don't need a bread maker to do it! Its always a hit and the bread comes out perfect and moist! This recipe makes 2 large loaves or 3 small loaves and takes about 2 hours total. Here is how you make it:

{Ingredients}
2 1/2 c. warm water
2 Tbls. yeast (4 1/4oz packages)
3 Tbls. sugar
2 Tbls. white vinegar (Distilled)
1 Tbls. salt
1/3 c. oil (I use Canola)
7 c. flour
1 egg
corn starch
{Directions}
 In a mixing bowl add the warm water, yeast, sugar and white vinegar together and let sit until bubbly (about 3-5 minutes). Then add the salt, oil and flour (1 cup at a time). Kneed the dough for about 4 minutes and let it sit for about 30 minutes to have a rise. then kneed again and place on a lightly floured surface.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
 Mold your dough to the shape and sizes you want. Then slice down the middle with a knife 3-5 diagonal lines. Let it rise on the counter until it reaches the size you want (can take up to 30 minutes depending on how big you want your loaves)
 On a cooking sheet spray pam and lightly drizzle with some corn starch. Mix the egg in a cup and brush over the loaves with it. (optional-drizzle salt or sugar on top of egg). Place the loaves on the pan and cook for 35 minutes. Place a toothpick in the center and make sure it comes out clean. If it does the bread is ready to take out.  Enjoy!

The Kitchen Aid makes everything so much easier!

Melt in Your Mouth Roast Chicken

This Chicken Recipe is the BEST!! It smells so good while its baking in the oven and tastes even better when its on your plate! This recipe is great for dinner parties and is served wonderfully with watercress, potatoes and carrots or string beans. Here are the Steps:

{Ingredients}
4-5 lb whole chicken
salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
3 lemons, halved
4 sprigs thyme
2 sprigs rosemary
6 cloves garlic, crushed, unpeeled
1 onion, sliced

1 Tblspn on Butter
olive oil as needed
1 cup chicken stock or broth
1/2 cup of water
(Any veggies you want to place around the chicken, I chose Carrots)

The Ingredients you will need
{Directions}

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Wash and dry the chicken, and throw out all the unwanted giblets. Mix the Thyme, Rosemary, Lemon Juice and Garlic in a Bowl. Smother the Chicken in the Juices and then place the remaining mixture inside the chicken. ( I didn't have time to run to the store to get real lemons or leaves so I just used my lemon juice and pre-made seasonings). Tie the two legs together with the cooking string (this is optional). In the bottom of the Roasting pan put the 1 cup of chicken broth, 1/2 cup of water and sliced onion (and optional veggies). Pour the rest of the juice from the seasoning bowl in the pan. Rub the chicken with the butter and place into the roasting pan. Drizzle with some olive oil and sea salt (generously) and then place it in the oven! Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 400 and then reduce the heat to 175 degrees and cook for 15 minutes. Make sure to be basting the chicken every 15 minutes to get a nice soak :) Internal Chicken should be at 165 degrees when it is finished. You can also make the leftover juices at the bottom of the dish into a nice gravy. Bon Appetit!
