Budget Saving Tips

If anyone knows me they know I LOVE getting good deals. I will research for hours (sometimes days) to find the best deal for the item I want. One time I got a $500 brand new 5qt Kitchen Aid for $95!! (I'll describe how I got that deal below). It takes a lot of research and time to find these good deals. If you have you ever seen the show coupon wars, you know the time and dedication it takes for those people to find and print all those coupons. I have had a lot of people ask me for the websites of where I find the best deals and cash back. So here is a list of my top "Go To" budget saving sites.

Cash Back
  •  Ebates.com
    • I should be a spokesperson for this site! It is seriously amazing and its ALWAYS the first place I go when shopping online. I will actually skip shopping in stores and go online because of this site!
    • What this site does is through clicking the store on their page they give you a percentage cash back for the amount you spend. For example: Walmart says 2% cash back, so when you click the "shop now" button it will redirect you to walmart.com where you would then purchase your items.  And ebates will pay you 2% of your purchase. So out of $100 thats $2. Thats it!!! Easy right?? They send you a check (or paypal credit) every quarter for the stores you used their cash back on. Its FREE Money, no fees and no strings attached. It seemed fake when I first signed up for it, but I have been a member for almost 4 years now! I use it every time I shop online!
    • You can also sign up for emails where they will send you the top cash back categories. During the Holidays the cash back goes up a lot!
  • Credit Cards: Chase Freedom & American Express Blue Cash Preferred
    • I'm not saying you should sign up for a credit card, but if you do use credit cards these two are BEST at giving you cash back. I did a lot of research and these both came up multiple times and the only ones that had the best cash back for your spending and they both have NO Annual Fee, which is a major plus!
  • Gift Cards
    • Cardcash.com
      • This site is great for getting discounted gift cards!
      • They discount peoples left over gift cards so you buy a gift card for cheaper than its worth!
        • Example: Starbucks gift cards are 19% off… So you can buy a $25 gift card for $20.25! Saving you $4.75!!! Perfect for yourself, Birthdays and Christmas!!
          • Try Entering Code: BRADSDEALS for an extra % off!
    • Raise.com
      • This site is another one for getting discounted gift cards
      • You can also sell your gift cards on this site for $ too!

Coupon Codes
  • MommySavesBig.com
    • This is another site besides ebates that I always go to when shopping online. You can search their list of stores and it will show you the top online discount/promo codes for that store.
    • For example if I search Kohls it will bring up a list of current working codes to use online for free shipping or 20% off. It works every time!
    • The best part about this is you can use it with ebates! I usually check here first to find the coupon codes, and then go on ebates. When I check out I put in the code and you get extra money off!!
  • Hip2save.com
    • Great Site with printable coupons and coupon codes for online shopping
  • Bradsdeals.com
    •  You can search their site for coupon codes for online stores and printable coupons to bring in store!
  • Ebates Printables
    • Ebates has a list of all the places that have printable in-store coupons
  • Retailmenot.com
    • I always check here for coupon codes!
Home Goods
  • Overstock.com
    • This site is full of discounted goodies! I purchased my 4 dining chairs and 2 barstool chairs from this site. Last cyber monday I purchased a Dyson Vaccuum (which I have been wanting for years but couldn't afford the $600 price tag) for $198 after a promo code and ebates cash back!! Talk about steal!!
  •  Kohls.com, Amazon.comEbay.com
    • Do I need to say more? These places are the gold mine for discounted home furnishings. I always look at these places first before buying at full retail piece.
    • Kohls is the place I purchased a $500 brand new 5qt Kitchen Aid for $95! Here are the steps I used:
      • Kohls was having a limited time Kitchen Aid Sale which took $100 off the original price and Free Shipping.
      • I had a Kohls 30% off coupon which took an additional $120 off the price.
      • I used a $100 gift card that I received from my Chase Freedom Cash Back Rewards
      • I went through ebates which had 6% Cash Back and gave me $14.70
      • Kohls was also doing a Kohls Cash promotion where they give you $10 for every $50 you spend, so I received $40 in Kohls Cash to use in the future.
      • Kitchen Aid was also doing a $30 mail in rebate at that time too
      • So after all the devotion to researching and adding everything together at once my Total Price I Paid for the Kitchen Aid was $95.30 with tax!! Crazy Good Deal!
  • Save-on-crafts.com
    • A great place for cute and vintage home decor accessories at a very reasonable discounted price!
  • JossandMain.com
    • Furniture and Home Accessory discount member site. Its a 'buy now if you want it because the item sells out quickly' type of online store. The items are 50-80% off, but the items stay up until they sell out! So if you see an item you like you have to get it right away or it will get taken by another buyer.
