{My Daily Devotions}


       If we want to become a more Christ-like person we must be consistent in our walk with Him. We can do this by having daily devotions in His word. I know it can be tough to take a moment and sit down with him, I can struggle with finding the time, which is ridiculous if you think about it. We have so much time in the day to spend 5 minutes with him, but consume it with other entertainment. A way that I got myself on a good routine is I first realized what I was doing when I woke up and thats reading my emails. So I decided to sign up for Air1's Verse of The Day Emails and Wisdom Hunters Daily Devotionals. These 2 emails helped set a reminder that I need to spend sometime in Gods word. They have really impacted my relationship with Him and my growth as a Christian. Its wonderful always getting a daily dose of his enduring faith. Devotions help us become more of a Christ-like person, wanting to constantly change and live a life according to His will. 

 "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror  and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.  But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do." James 1:22-25

{Our Church}

        Chris and I were baptized with my family and became members of our Church {Central Christian} 2 months before we became engaged. We love our church and what they stand for. Chris is a youth group leader on Wednesday nights for the high school group. We have grown stronger in our faith with Jesus and are continually learning and understanding His Word. Air 1 is a wonderful radio station (89.7 FM). They have great christian music artist that they play and wonderful testimonies. There are no commercials since the radio station is supported solemnly by Air1 listeners. It is the first station I turn on to listen to! They have wonderful stories of others who have struggled and found Christ through Air1.You can see their website Here

World Impact is an organization that supports those who help plant churches in Americas inner cities. Their main goal is to show the love and friendship of Jesus to everyone they can. Some of the people they reach are those that never would have been if it wasn't for these churches. I love being able to support those who are called to serve others! You can see their website Here

to show others how to become more Devoted to the important pieces in their lives. We can serve our spouses by being a Dedicated friend, disciple, lover and homemaker. Before I got married I made a promise with God, Myself and my future husband to serve him to my best abilities. To me that means being a Devoted Christian: keeping Christ first in our relationship. A Devoted Cook: having home made food hot and ready on the  kitchen table with a smile on my face when he came home. A Devoted Housewife: who loved & cherished her house by creating a home out of it. I strive to be a Dedicated Christian, Wife, Mommy, and Friend to all of those around me :)

As Christians we are called to become more and more like Jesus. I believe being Devoted to God, His Word and His Son is a wonderful way to become a more Christ-like person.

    As Wives & Husbands we are called to be Devoted to each other. Loving & serving one another, uplifting & praising one another, and always encouraging one another to become a better person. 

 "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.  Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her  to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—  for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. "
