:My Favorite Dishes: Steamed Artichokes with Butter Dipping Sauce:




*This recipe is really easy to do and these artichokes ALWAYS come out with their leaves falling right off.

{Ingredients}
  • 1 Artichoke
  • 1 Tsp of Butter
  • Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp of Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, Minced Garlic, Dried Chopped Red Onions and Garlic Salt.
  • DIPPING SAUCE: 1 Tbsp of Butter, 1 Tbsp of Mayonnaise, 1 Tsp of Lemon Juice and 1 Tsp of Garlic Salt (Mix Together in a Bowl and put in Microwave for 20 Sec, or until melted.

{Directions}
  • Wash the Artichoke and Cut all the Sharp edges with thorns off. 
  • Cut the Artichoke in half and scoop out with a knife all of the hairs. (These are very dangerous to eat and can be choked on).
  • Spread butter over the heart and inside of the Artichoke, then sprinkle some lemon juice. Add all the above seasoned ingredients on top and around the artichoke.




















  • Place the artichoke heart side down in the steamer and steam for 30-45 minutes (depending on your steamer).

Take Artichokes out of steamer carefully with tongs and enjoy!!
